I wish I read this when I was younger because I've heard many people say that this was their favorite book when they were children. I read this when I was twenty and I just couldn't enjoy it even though I really wanted to be swept away in this crazy, imaginative Wonderland. But, sadly, I found it too childish for me at that point in my life that I couldn't even finish it. ...more

Shelves: read-in-2013, fantasy

Like most people I was familiar with the Disney version of the story. Having read the original I realize that like most stories, Disney changed it up. They took Carroll's characters and stories and mixed it up to make a new story. I did not know exactly what to think about this, but I'm reading it for a class. I did read it fast like always and it would probably benefit from a slower read. I did enjoy the story and will look at some parts a little more closely so I can write a decent short essay ...more
