So I am rereading this book because the third book came out and I have no idea what happened. Rereading the entire series. So long! But so worth it. Shall give more of a review this time around too.

Post-apocalyptic literature is not my genre. And vampire literature is really annoying me of late. But I can safely say that The Passage is, in my limited experience, intriguing and interesting. When I got to the end, I realized this was the first in a trilogy and nearly fell out of my seat.

This potentially could have been a 5 star book but for one small little thing: Waaaaaaaayyyyyyy tooooooo loooooooong. A post-apocalyptic vampire/Walking Dead/The Stand/The Road should have been a page turner, but too often I had to force myself to finish this. Once I've gathered up my strength and mentally prepared myself, I'll pick up the sequel.

I received this as a first read. I really like this book. This book is one for me that lived up to the hype. I love how the author reimaged the vampire story. Just a great read all over . Highly recommend this one.
