I got about halfway through when I realised that I had read it before. I thought I might have been remembering the movie, but there were several things in the book that I remembered that weren't in the movie. And now I remember why people were so annoyed with the movie!

This book was a lot of fun. What it lacks in polish (some of the jokes are quite lame), it makes up for in educational value. Can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Listened with the kids for Riley's summer reading. I can see why John Mark has loved this series for years.

This was a good audiobook that I was able to share with my kids (age 8 & 6). We liked the adventures of the hero and his discovery of being a half-blood and are looking forward to the next book in the series.
So far it has been a page turner!
