What Members Thought
Read because this has been on banned book lists. I knew about the problem of alcoholism and under education previously, but so much death....nope, that caught me off guard. All the curating was okay in this book, my tolerance seemed to be higher because of the circumstances described. Recommend.
Absolutely loved this one. I'm officially a Sherman Alexie fan. A really clever, sweet, funny and touching book.

Great book.
2.75 stars, so I'll round up to 3 stars.
As I was reading this, I had a hard time figuring out what made this a banned book. It was an interesting glimpse into life on a reservation. So tragic. I am proud of Junior/Arnold for taking that big step and venturing off the reservation in an attempt at a better life.

As someone who has been an outsider and someone who has been the only person of color in the room, I really felt for Arnold. Really enjoyed this book.
