Another good book on lawyers, judges and courtrooms by John Grisham. Starting with an astounding and original opening (an old Southern gentleman who is badly suffering from cancer resolves to take his own life but one day before doing this he words a handwritten (holographic) last will and posts it to lawyer Jake Brigance - in this will, which invalidates a former one, the soon-to-be-dead man leaves 90% of his huge fortune to his black housekeeper, the remaining 10% to his brother and his Church ...more

I really liked this as a continuation of Jake Brigance, but I do not feel that it was better than A Time to Kill. At times, I was bored with the mundane details of will contest trial, but overall loved the way the story weaved and came together at the end.
