I picked this book up because Overdrive offered the book for some monthly reading shindig. I hadn't gotten around to it until this month. I'd read a couple of books that involve incarceration and such, so this sounded interesting.

The premise of this book was fascinating, and I found some of the stories fascinating and uplifting. It was the overly pompous and exaggeratedly self-agrandizing tone and style of the entire work that left a very bad taste in my mouth.
