I was disappointed.
So, this was a sequel to Charlie and the Chocolate factory, my favorite book by Roald Dahl, and I had great expectations for this book. But it was weird--too weird. It didn't really have a solid theme to anchor it, unlike the first book. The story went all over the place. There were a few parts where I laughed, but it was too disjointed.
It is the only Dahl book that I haven't wholly liked, but I still want to read some of his other books despite this. ...more
