Shelves: ficton, 2018, mystery-thriller

The writing is solid, but these characters left me feeling cold. Gillian Flynn is excellent at writing cringeworthy characters. This was a short book so I was able to breeze through it pretty quick, but I can't say that I enjoyed the reading experience. I wanted to read it before watching the HBO series, but after finishing the book I decided I did not want to revisit this disturbing town. ...more
