After starting and dropping this book so many times, I finally finished it! I have to say that I'm completely blown away with the idea that JK Rowling can write my favourite series about a boy wizard and flip gears to this.

Tempering my expectations really helped (as well as getting spoiled on the bad guy, so I could try to see how Strike figured it out as I listened).
