2016 Reading Challenge Category: A book you haven't read since high school.
I have to admit, I was a bit anxious about picking up Watership Down again for the first time in so many years, not only because I loved it so much in high school, and I was afraid of feeling let down by rereading it with adult eyes, but because this book changed my life. I read this book for the ATY 2022 Reading Challenge Week 36: two books related to flora and fauna. A clever book based to a degree on the scientific knowledge of rabbits and the biological and botanical environment of the downs in the United Kingdom. Delightful story...you would think a story about the adventures of rabbits searching for a new home would be boring. However, you couldn't be more wrong. This is a great tale, full of adventure and daring. You really care about the rabbits and root for them the whole way through.
