Shelves: fiction, humor, read-2015

I was not expecting to like this book, with the vague impression that it would be far more drama-y and romance-y than I usually like my stories.

I was mistaken. Every character in this book was seriously relatable in the strangest ways. Especially Marcus, the main character, whose thoughts often made me laugh out loud.

I've had this book on my shelf forever but had never read it. It Seemed like a good summer read, and I liked the movie a lot, so I decided this was the time to read it. Turns out I liked the book just as much as the movie, although the parts of the movie I remember most aren't in the book. I think the author used really clever phrasing and that made the characters seem real. I usually don't read books after seeing the movie, so this was a little different for me.
