What Members Thought

I wanted to love Bitterblue as much as I adored Graceling and Fire, but it wasn't quite to that level for me. I still enjoyed it, but it lacked some of the excitement and romance of Graceling and was much more of a mystery. I did like finding out more about what happened to Bitterblue after the events of Graceling and it was nice to see the reappearance of Katsa and Po (although not enough for me). This time last year I was reading Bitterblue, the third and last book set in the Graceling Realm. While Fire will always be my favorite of the three, Bitterblue does not disappoint. It places less emphasis on action and road trips than either of the previous books and instead focuses on politics and what it means to be a good queen.
