Three stars for the great imagery here. This author has a terrific imagination and a never-ending supply of gorgeous turn-of-the-century flashy gown descriptions. But honestly, I didn’t care for the plot, which took second place to the strong sense of place that dominated the novel. For such a lengthy book, I felt like I was constantly waiting for something big to happen. There were many opportunities, but too many backstories weighed this novel down. After a long time, I've found a book which delivers everything promised by the cover. I found the Night Circus to be Breathtaking, Dazzling and Enchanting. ❤️ I loved this book unequivocally and nibbled at it as slowly as I could because I simply didn't want the magic to end. ...more

I liked some of this book and disliked some of it. I have always been interested in the circus life, (not the animals) the people that live the circus life. Lots of interesting characters , at parts of the book it seemed to drag.then other parts of the book flowed. I I liked most of characters, some more than others. I liked the magic, mystery part of the book. All in all I enjoyed the story.
