This is one of my favorites of all-time, second only to The Giver. It's been a long time since I read the book, but I still have some of my favorite passages highlighted in my copy. Those passages still send chills up my spine when i re-read them.

"Scout," he said, "Mr. Ewell fell on his knofe. can you possibly understand?"..."Yes sir, I understand....it'd sort of be like shooting a mockingbird, wouldn't it?"

Very good book. I can see how it would be deemed a classic. Just a few pivotal years in the life of a young girl, during a time where African Americans were not given a fair shake. Shows a town divided on right and wrong based on skin color and status.
