3.5 stars - 4 stars. I’ve never read anything like this, and the unreliable narrator is so well crafted by the author that I was able to forget about the subject matter and the fact that there wasn’t a point to the story.

The only complaint I had about this book is that Nabokov takes a very long time to say very little. But other than that, this was an amazing piece of literature, with some very beautiful prose.
