I hated every moment of this book. Yes, the writing is excellent - the narrator is fleshed out completely. Yes, Nabokov set out to write about a monster, and he did that. The rape, pedophilia, murder, narcissism, kidnapping - was just too much. It's described as a love story and I vehemently disagree. Delusions do not equal love. I'm learning that I have gigantic problems with what's considered classic literature.
