Although this book is quite disturbing, I also found it a wonderful fountain of information on a disease that is so devastating. Well written, it draws you right into the family life, and made me laugh as well as cry, but also opened me eyes to new understanding not only of symptoms, but of feelings, of those troubled by this disease. Also ways to deal with it ... kind of wish I had read it before my folks walked the dementia path, but neither of my parents were nearly as bad as Alice. Well wort ...more

What a heartbreaking book! It was so well written and so interesting to hear the story from the person with Alzheimer. It was especially hard for me to listen to this book since my family has been his by this horrible disease twice. I have also cared for people with it. I would recommend this book to a friend. Now I want to see the movie.
