It has been a good long while since last I read this novel, and I must admit to the suspicion that I liked it better now than I did then. I enjoy a book which pokes fun at a genre without being too unkind about it, and Austen succeeds in this, as she does in most other things, quite masterfully. I shall return to this story in the future with much greater pleasure of anticipation.
