From start to finish, this is a wonderful book. Tolstoy captures the reader's imagination with his beautiful writing and attention to detail. I definitely recommend this book to anyone interested in the classics. ...more

Wow..... Wonderful! I had always expected that this was going to be a difficult read...far from it. Tolstoy has a wonderful style...so different than other writers in his era. I thought his descriptions were almost like a screenplay.... actors need only do what Tolstoy explained...and so much of the action takes place just in gestures or facial expressions. Put Anna on your MUST READ list!
