The saddest and most painful novel I have ever read.
A story never to be forgotten.
Hurt, pain, fear and shock - the emotions that I had through this detailed and heartfelt tale .
Amir and Hassan's lives cross each other's paths despite them splitting away from each other at a young age.
It saddens how Hassan's life turned out and what Amir did. However, Amir found the chance to correct his wrong through Sonhrab and he lived his life doing so.

I wish I could give this book 3 1/2 stars. I recently read "And The Mountains Echoed" by this author. I wasn't overly thrilled with that book. I am glad I didn't let that taint my opinion of this book.

I found the book interesting in both the material and how it was written.

This is one of very few books that made me cry. It is a bittersweet book. Do not read this book if you want to escape your life. After reading this book you might think your life isn't so bad after all.
