Grabbed this YA at random from the library for an easy read. HOLY COW it is so badly written, but the premise is interesting enough to pull it along, so +1 star for that. It kind of wanders into 'Lost' territory at the end, where everything is a mystery within a mystery, though I wasn't interested enough to actually consider reading the sequels and wikipedia didn't really sell them too well. I liked the story and how it is presented...however, I couldn't stand the words used to replace the ones we actually use everyday. I did find the story intriguing and I'm looking forward to reading the next book to see where it all goes.
