I really enjoyed the first book in this series, even though it's written for much younger readers. I do realize there is a little problem with appropriating a true custom of many aboriginal peoples, but it does make for a good story. I would encourage young readers who read this to also research where some of the ideas came from, and learn more about other real cultures. ...more
