One of the best books I have ever read! It is this generations "To Kill a Mockingbird." To Kill a MockingbirdI wanted to skip work because I was reading this book, so I could finish. It only took me a couple of days because I could not put it down. I can completely relate to Skeeter, and Aibeleen is the epitome of a strong woman. I couldn't stop reading this book! It was a hilarious story while showcasing the turmoils of the 60's. I loved the characters! Looking forward to seeint the movie.

I think this would be a good book to read and discuss with friends at a book club. Definitely the kind of thought-provoking, historical fiction that raises big questions and examines the race relations of yesterday and today.
I laughed out loud, cried a little and was kept intrigued the entire time. The dialect from the characters was phenomenal.
