I only took away one star because the character, Amy just seemed one step too perfect. And I know,yes,she's supposed to be that kind if girl but the great lengths seemed stretched just one step too thin. Otherwise, I very much enjoyed the twists and the turns and held on to this rollercoaster ride until the very last page and I had to go back and reread the last bit to be sure it was over. ...more

Shelves: crime-mystery, histoire-d-amour, kind-of-spooky, deep-and-dark, made-into-movie

Scary, creepy , disturbing.

An excursion into the mind of a sociopath.
Unhealthy relationships, extreme manipulation, psychological abuse, murder.

Our book club was quite unanimous in saying it was generally horrible.

I suppose the subject and unlikeable characters didn't help, but it was more than that that swayed everyone, the improbability of the story,
though I know, sadly, that there are people like this out there. Some thought it predictable.

I honestly don't know how I feel about this book. I hate the ending.

After a few days thinking about this book, I still don't know how I feel. This book was def. not a favorite of mine and I have no desire to see the movie. This book was a miss for me. So why the 3 stars? It was well written, thoroughly thought out, well edited but just didn't do it for me. I think it was because I didn't like either of the main characters and it's hard for me to enjoy a book when I can't stand who I'm reading a ...more
