Piece of advice, don't read this when you're hella busy. There's not very many good places to pause and go do things like memorize monologues for auditions or sleep. I can't wait to read her other books! ...more

I only took away one star because the character, Amy just seemed one step too perfect. And I know,yes,she's supposed to be that kind if girl but the great lengths seemed stretched just one step too thin. Otherwise, I very much enjoyed the twists and the turns and held on to this rollercoaster ride until the very last page and I had to go back and reread the last bit to be sure it was over. ...more

Shelves: kind-of-spooky, deep-and-dark, crime-mystery, made-into-movie, histoire-d-amour

Scary, creepy , disturbing.

An excursion into the mind of a sociopath.
Unhealthy relationships, extreme manipulation, psychological abuse, murder.

Our book club was quite unanimous in saying it was generally horrible.

I suppose the subject and unlikeable characters didn't help, but it was more than that that swayed everyone, the improbability of the story,
though I know, sadly, that there are people like this out there. Some thought it predictable.

Nevertheless, it opened much interesting discussion. ...more
