Many reviewers have posted they hated the ending. I too hated the ending. In the acknowledgement section the author thanks some people who helped get the book past "82.6%." To be honest, the last 1/3-1/4 of it was not very good. It appeared the author did not know how to end it and just put something together because they needed it published. I am not sure I would recommend this book to anyone, primarily due to the ending.

Piece of advice, don't read this when you're hella busy. There's not very many good places to pause and go do things like memorize monologues for auditions or sleep. I can't wait to read her other books!

I definitely didn't expect anything that happened in this book, and I think that's probably due to the author's great ability at turning a tale. I have no idea what I thought this book would be about, but I'm pleasantly surprised at what it was. There are very few books that are so riveting I can't put them down. But this is one of them. I picked it up on Saturday morning, and finished it on Sunday evening. Straight from the start I was drawn in to the seemingly perfect marriage between Nick & Amy, knowing of course that no marriage is perfect. Gillian Flynn has woven an intricate web of lies and secrets, and created these deeply flawed characters that, while not entirely sympathetic, feel very real. When I hate a character so much I ca

I liked this one! I was tempted to give it five stars (According to Goodreads that means It was Amazing! since that seemed appropriate, considering) but did not. I felt a little led. The Nick clues should have been a LITTLE less obvious so it wouldn't feel so contrived. I also didn't care for the ending, although the twists were good.

This is so fucked up!
I found it slightly predictable (or I am as messed up as the characters). Nevertheless I enjoyed it, I actually couldn't put it down until I finished it! ...more
