What Members Thought
Part of me said that more time would allow me to properly reflect on this book and come up with a cohesive rating. Unsurprisingly, it didn't. Now I'm forced to try to remember what happened, but I have enough memory for this.
The premise is certainly interesting and inviting, though I take some argument with it being a "fiendishly clever ghost story and a gripping page-turner." I'm not saying Catton isn't clever, or that the book itself isn't clever, but I find it lacking in the "ghost story" asp ...more
