(This isn't so much a review, more a messy collection of thoughts on the book and the characters, and my take on the comments other reviews have made about it and them.)
I really liked the premise of this book, and I loved Charlie's thoughts and observations. I'm oblivious to my surroundings, but not to my mind, and Charlie takes the obliviousness to the next level. “You see things. You keep quiet about them. And you understand.”
This book is a great read for people who, at one time or another, consider themselves as wallflowers. I’m not sure how those who’ve never considered themselves wallflowers at all would like this, but it might be worth a try.
I think I was lucky in that I wasn’t really aware of the hype that surrounded this book. That’s how I was able to enjoy it so much. Judging from the other reviews on here, and from my own experience reading book ...more

Interesting idea for a book. Didn't like how the book tried to wrap up everything at the end because I felt that the new information warranted a few more chapters. Curious as to how this book was portrayed in the movie.
