I may in the minority, but once I got into it, I couldn't put it down. I just had to know what was going to happen with this community and its rather complex residents. It was very hard to get into and the many character intros made it difficult to keep people straight. After I sorted everyone out (without paper, mind) the story settled into one of those case studies you read in psychology, sociology, or ethics courses. Da ich die Harry POtter Serie sehr gerne mochte wollte ich wissen wie das neue Buch von ihr ist. So habe ich es mir ausgeliehen. Tja, es war ein harter Kampf. JKR versteht es nach wie vor sehr spannend die Personen zu skizzieren, aber die Geschichte ist viel zu langatmig und fad und der Schluss weder spannend, unerwartet noch sonst irgendwas. DIe ganze Handlung in dem BUch macht für mich keinen Sinn, es werden meines Erachtens Einzelgeschichten erzählt die irgendwie zusammengeklebt wurden. ICh h

I really had no idea what to expect with this book except that it was written by J.K. Rowling and nothing like Harry Potter. In the beginning I had a hard time really getting into the many different but interconnected lives of the people of the community. There were so many characters. But, by the 2nd half I found myself really wanting to know what would happen to each of them and the consequences of their actions.
