Shelves: fiction, thriller-suspense, science-fiction

Three and a half stars. This book was incredibly engaging, even though it isn't the sort of thing I ordinarily read. I thought the child characters were overly stereotyped (boy=smart, capable, common sense, interested in computers and dinosaurs; girl=entitled brat who gets everyone in trouble, thinks computers and dinosaurs are stupid). Some of the other characters were also a bit heavy in terms of caricature or good vs. evil, and some of the writing was a bit clunky and the situations contrived ...more

It has taken me a few days to read this because of life and work distracting me , but I have enjoyed this book a lot. It’s quite different from the film , which I have seen a few times but I still noticed a few similarities every now and again.
