REREAD IN 2021: I have forgotten most of the scenes and rereading the book helped refresh my memory. More thoughts to come.

What the hell was that???
The ending won a prize in the category "The most suprising endings ever". I don't wanna spoil but it's just weird and I'm a bit confused and....nevermind I have to read the second book,

I got City of Bones cheap a while ago, and it seems like five times I've picked it up and read the first twenty pages and thought it was fun and then forgotten about it. Well, I finally finished it. But I think maybe I would have been better off with just the first twenty pages over and over again.

I did not like this book. I never expected it to be that great, just fun and fluffy. But it ended up just pissing off my writer sensibilies to no end.

Love this book. Cassandra Clare does not disappoint! I always enjoy her books. This book captivates you and before you know it you read through the whole book and cant wait to read the second.
