Why did I read this book? That's what usually, among other things, want to know. Well I read this because it was an assignment for my 'Introduction to English Literature' class. And honestly I've always wanted to read an English classic.And this is such a famous one. The only thing I knew about this book is that people 'shipped' Jane and Mr Rochester.

How was the writing? English is not my mother language and naturally I didn't expect to know the meaning of every single word. It's difficult for e Why did I read this book? And honestly I've always wanted to read an English classic.And this is such a famous one. The only thing I knew about this book is that people 'shipped' Jane and Mr Rochester.

How was the writing? English is not my mother language and naturally I didn't expect to know the meaning of every single word. It's difficult for english people to understand this book so you can imagine that it was a tad bit difficultier for me. But one thing I know is that the writing is beautiful and I felt so sophisticated while reading it. Some people complain about the lengthy descriptions but I didn't mind. It's easier to imagine something when it's described with more detail. Don't get me wrong I hate descriptions that are 3-4 pages long. Here it wasn't the case, just few paragraphs.

Who's Jane Eyre? Jane Eyre, in the beginning of the book, is a girl who lives with her aunt and her children. Her cousin bullies her but she's always blamed. So she gets sent off to a boarding school. That's where the story starts.

About her character and looks: Jane is not pretty(people always say that she's ugly) but she stands out because she is strong and independent, she talks back and isn't afraid to speak her mind. Now, you can imagine how this was viewed at that period of time and especially coming from a woman. And it surprised me because I didn't expect it.

Jane & Mr Rochester: I now know why people love them so much. And I can't explain it, it would sound so cliche. But know my fellow readers that I love them. Their romance..ugh..
