Summary: Scarlett's a spoiled Southern daughter of a plantation owner. All the boys love her and all the girls despise her. Then, the Civil War arrives! This spoiled girl gets a taste of what hardship is through the war and the Reconstruction era after. With her are Melanie, the only girl her age who doesn't hate her; Ashley, Melanie's husband who Scarlett secretly loves; and Rhett, someone who loves Scarlett but not in the way she's used to.
