Occasionally I wonder what inspires some stories, and this is one of those times.
An out of control father, a young man seeking his destiny, and a young woman trying to escape hers. And of course, there's Rincewind, the Librarian, the Luggage and the Archchancellor's hat.
Then there's the battle between young and old, old and new, and because it's the Discworld, eastern Klatchian things on sticks and western Morporkian things in buns.
It's not my favourite Discworld story, but you have to love a go ...more
