I couldn’t have found a better quote to describe what I’ve read of the Discworld series thus far. Rules that seem to be established don’t seem to hold up from one book to another, character traits and appearances seem to inexplicably change and there isn’t much of a structure to speak of. This Pratchett drags a bit. I think because there is a great deal of repetition when describing how topsy-turvy free-wheeling magic can get. It wasn't always clear what was happening or what happened to everyone. I have no idea who was actually left by the end except definitely the Librarian (Yay!)
My favorite parts involved Death, the Luggage and the other 3 Horsemen. I'm assuming we will never see Comina and Nijel again, but I will go and check out the Last Hero. ...more
