What Members Thought

I was so looking forward to this book and for the most part it came through. Right when I started I had a hard time putting it down. I loved that Katniss was struggling at the beginning, struggling to make sense of what happened at the end of the last book, struggling to live with the choices she made, and just plain struggling to make it through the day. In the last 1-2 years she has lived through hell, was forced to make choices that no one should ever have to and that make it hard to go back

I've had the book for a week and a half, and I FINALLY made myself sit down and read it. I was SO SCARED that the series would end HORRIBLY, and that I would want to kill someone, but I was quite pleased with it. It's definitely not a Disney or romance-novel ending, but it was... hopeful... Realistic. The book was definitely sad, but I didn't find it overly depressing. (Well...) Parts were definitely SHOCKING, and definitely not in a HAPPY way, but the tone was appropriate to war, you know?

4.5 stars rounded up to 5 stars. I really enjoyed this one but it took me longer to read compared to the others. The first 1/2-3/4 of the book was a little challenging to get through with my reading slump. Tatiana Masly does a phenomenal job narrating this book, especially the part when Katniss was sobbing near the end was so emotional. I love the twist close to the end, and the ending is somewhat haunting with just enough for you to have some closure and feel satisfaction afterwards. Definitely

I never give 5-stars, but I really loved this book. It left me wanting more, which I take as a really good book/story. I mean, if you are glad when a book's done, then it's probably not so good, but wanting to know more, and not wanting it to end, that's a book I can give 5 stars to.
(and reading this back to myself, I sound like an 8th grader giving a book report...saying nothing at all really. Hmmm....I loved the series. Thanks to my daugher-in-law for suggesting these books) ...more

It's been a while since a book made me cry. The end of this book made me tear up though. I loved it, it was a great ending to the series. My favorite part, is at the end with buttercup, i'm not going to ruin it for those of you who haven't read it, but when you do that's my favorite part, because i'm a cat person.

I'm not sure what I can say without giving away any spoilers. I can say that it is extremely action packed. I read it in one sitting. I stayed up until 2 am reading after work. I'm not sure I will be much good today, but I could not put it down. I am not sure what I think about the ending. I think I read it too fast to really say. I will re-read in a week or so before I can say for sure. This is one of the most action pack series I have ever read. I think I could recommend this series to pretty

A fantastic end to the amazing trilogy with unexpected twists and turns, and horrific events. Though I finally predicted one turn of events - who Katniss actually executed in the President's mansion.
