Rosamund Pike's narration of this classic was really good!

The characters are vivid, and the story delightful. I love Austen's language and the differences between Lydia, Kitty, Mary, Elizabeth, and Jane were pleasantly described. I wish that Mary could have had a bit more of a presence, however I understand Austen's critique of all different kinds of women in that society.

This is one of my all-time favorite books. Romance novels are rarely something I indulge in, but this one brings it all home. You remember what it is like to be young and believe in the fairy tales, only this is more on a scale of the normal person.
I adore Eliza, Jane, Darcy, and Bingley. Mr. Bennett amuses me, Lydia infuriates me, Wickham annoys me. The fact is that the characters spark these emotions, that's why Austen is still read, we feel her stories and characters.

I absolutely adore this book. I first discovered it in high school (in 2003) and I have been in love with it ever since.
The way Jane writes these characters makes them come alive in the pages and the suspense between, not only Elizabeth and Darcy (which is the main story arc) but also Jane and Bingley kept me reading it through the night the very first time I read it. I now make it a point to re-read this book about once a year at least. I also enjoy listening to it when I tire of music.

It has been a while since I last read this, though I have read very many P&P what-if's and variations. Nice to be "grounded" on the characters as created by Miss Austen as many fan fiction efforts so strongly change the characters' personalities and attributes as they were originally created.
