I am not sure what it is about this series that keeps me reading them, but not really liking them all that much. I like Jack, but am bored while reading, but I want to know more about her. The whole storyline with her Mother was interesting especially in the last half of the story. The mom's boyfriend was funny, especially when Jack walks in on them. I was meh... about the men in Jack's life. The crime in the book was some what interesting, but I was glad to see the bad guy get his in the end.
