I love Marco's evolution as a character, and this entry really challenged his humor under the worst circumstances. Some new sci-fi stuff I really liked in this one-- though the introduction of the Leerans comes on quickly, as all new species seem to in Animorphs.
But a big point loss for portraying sharks as one dimensional killing machines.

Marco's story is always the most compelling. Some moments I wished would have been focused on more. The uncertainty and the inner turmoil about Visser One and the Leeran (at the end) should have been 10 pages and not two paragraphs.
