While I loved the concept of this book I found most chapters to be very slow reading. It wasn't until the last 2 -3 chapters that I really became engrossed in the novel and I flew through the last 100 or so pages. This is why I felt I could only give Burial Rights 3 stars. A novel this length usually only takes me 2-3 days to read and while I liked the story, I didn't love it.

I liked the ambigous nature of the story, but it was still a heart-breaking read. And it did drag a bit in the middle for me when the main character was telling certain parts of her story and I couldn't understand why she felt the way she did. I would definitely recommend this to others, but that ending is a bit of a gut-punch; fair warning.
