This was such a brilliant, intricately woven story. Liesel Meminger's life on Himmel Street in Nazi Germany during WWI really touched my heart.
I loved the writing and the pacing of the story. It was really interesting all the way through. Each character was so easy to imagine and detailed. This is definitely a book that's an insta-fave for me. ...more

I had some mixed feelings on this book. It took me awhile to get through it, but in the end I don't regret reading, and I'm actually quite glad I did read it. I think I might pick it up again in a few years and see how I feel about it then and if my feelings change at all.
