I often find book narrated by death to be a little cliche. I fell in love with this book and it is definitely in the books that made me cry. It allows you to see what living in Nazi Germany was like. It may be a work of fiction but it gives you insight from a little girl and deaths point of view.

This book was amazing. It made me feel all the feels. I initially chose to read it because so many people said it was their favorite book, and because I needed to find a book that was out of my comfort zone for the readathon I was doing. I haven’t read much historical fiction, so I figured this would be a good pick, since I wanted to read this book in July anyway. I didn’t end up finishing it for the readathon, but I’m glad about that. It’s the kind of book that you need to take your time with.

Death narrates the story and follows her. I thought it was a tad bit too long. But other than that I liked it! ...more
