I'm not sure I've ever been so annoyed and in love with a book in my life. Travis and Abby made me so mad at times and I had plenty of eye rolling filled moments, BUT I found the writing addictive and fluid and I'm really glad I picked it up! This book is definitely on the lighter side (content-wise) of new adult, so I definitely recommend it if you are new to the genre or want something a little bit more toned ...more

I read this with a goodreads reading group. What a roller coaster of a read. At some points I had tears in my eyes and then others I was so mad. This book is about a college couple. The male is very abusive and a womanizer. The woman is running away from her shady past with a big secret. Warning there is a lot of alcohol and sex in this book. It also has a very suspenseful ending that I did not see coming. This book kept me reading and I want to read her other books.

This was more than I was hoping for when I picked this one up. It's a real-life new adult romance that's a bit heavier than what you would get with YA romance but not quite Fifty Shades of sex. I liked that there was a story here however messed up at times. It started off really fun and light and turned into crazy passionate insanity with the drama drama drama halfway through until the end. There were times that it was a bit over the top, but it's fiction! Sometimes it's fun to read real life wi This was more than I was hoping for when I picked this one up. There were times that it was a bit over the top, but it's fiction! Sometimes it's fun to read real life with the drama kicked up 10 notches. I really enjoyed it. Especially since I just completed a complex fantasy novel and I really just wanted to read something I didn't have to think about. Just something enjoyable and light. I made the mistake of starting this book just before bed and it had me right from the first chapter so that I couldn't put it down until I forced myself to somewhere around 5am.

I really liked the unique aspects of this story. I loved both the characters' backgrounds and how they both used those past experiences throughout the story. I enjoyed the pacing for the development of their relationship (some aspects were fast, and others were a slow build up). The story was interesting and captivated me from the start.

I find it a little weird how so many popular romance books these days have strong, domineering, controlling, sometimes violent men as the main love interests. I feel like this would make a really interesting essay topic to write about. Feminism has been pushing for women to be equal in everything and we've come so far and now what's popular in romance? Men in control. Back to basics. Back to the past. It's fascinating.

I find this basic story has been told many times and I wonder how true it could ever be. Do men who sleep around and disregard the feelings of girls who they sleep with, ever meet a single girl that makes them do a complete 180 overnight? Once men fall in love do they instantly want permanency in the form of marriage? That's how most every romantic lead behaves in contemporary romance. I'm assuming authors are just catering to their readers and offering what we all dream guys would be like rather than staying true to the characters and their natures. Maybe I just have a knack for picking the same stories with different titles over and over. I'd like to see more romances that don't necessarily end with marriage and children. ...more

This book was so wonderful! I was hooked from the first page. The back and forth between Travis and Abby made me so emotional! You could really relate to Abby, and I'm hoping I'll do the same when I read Walking Disaster. I must admit, I wish Walking Disaster had been a sequel instead of just Travis' POV. ...more

It's a crazy roller coaster ride with the characters. I won't say that this book had much depth but it was an addictive read.
