I've been enjoying the Orphan X series and haven't read the novellas, but The List featured Joey Morales, who I love and wanted to learn more about. Joey was the last recruit to the Orphan Program, but she flunked out. There is a lot of story in this very short novella. I enjoyed learning more about Joey. She is a super bada$$ for a sixteen-year-old. We see that she loves X in an uncle/brotherly way. I also loved seeing X's heart and the need to protect Joey.

The pillar of protection and calling out bad behavior when she sees it. She

I suppose this is more a short story than a novella. It is about Joey, who is enrolled in university computer classes that she says she herself could teach if she "left 40 IQ points at the door!"
I enjoyed this short read about how Joey got revenge on the guys who listed the campus girls by assessing their physical/sexual rankings. I am so glad to be a person who is the same age as senior citizens ;-) ...more
