I started this book and then had to put it aside for a time. Human trafficking and serial killers are my two least favorite tropes, and I just wasn't in the right mind to finish this book when I started it. I'm glad that I picked it up again because it is a fantastic book. I love the Lucy Kincaid Series and find Lucy to be an amazing character. This is always a gritty series, but the thirteenth volume is particularly so.
I had a harder time getting into this story, and may have given up if I hadn't known who the author was and that this would eventually carry Lucy Kincaid. Yet, it did pay off to read the book, and I will stick with this author and her stories for the foreseeable future. ...more
