A young woman who worked for a powerful DC lobbying firm is found murdered in Rock Creek Park. What gets the attention of the FBI is her recent scandal involving an affair with a US congressman. FBI Agent Noah Armstrong decides to include FBI Analyst Lucy Kincaid in the initial investigation because it appears that the crime plays to her skills. Lots and lots of different characters, a twisted plot and sex scandals involving Washington movers and shakers and, Lucy and Sean are right in the middle of it all. I must admit I was lost at times and all the characters made it difficult to get into this book, but I got the hang of it by the end, anyway.

When the FBI is called out on a high-profile murder, Lucy Kincaid tags along as an analyst. The body of Wendy James, a high-priced call girl, was found on a jogging path. Police with their investigation on the murder of a prostitute. Lucy sees ties between the cases, believing that both cases may have the s ...more

This next book in the Lucy Kincaid series is complicated with a large cast of characters. I started with the audio book but I had to switch to print to keep everyone one straight in my mind. I continue to be a Sean Rogan fan. He is perfect for Lucy. There is a surprise (at for me) return of a character from a previous book who added a lot to the suspense of the story.

I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.
