I am loving this series more and more with each book I read. Each character is a deeply flawed individual and even though they are liars, cheats and murderers, you just can't help rooting for them and falling in love with them.
Samantha Masters is on the run from her past and with the help of a woman whose life she saved, she is now in Scotland using the name Alison Ross. Sam now must make everyone believe she really is Alison. The chance for a new life in a new country, one she feels at once at ...more

Perhaps 3.5 stars, not sure yet.
Some one- and two-way traffic between Highlands and the Wild West of 1880.
Lots of angst and suffering, as readers of this series already know.
There's a particularly shady character introduced in this book; my guess is that he will feature in a future volume in the series.
