This book was great! I couldn't put it down.. but then the author went and did something right near the end that I just didn't like. For the rest of the book, right up until the very last paragraph I was hoping she would fix it for me but no.. sadly... So I have to deduct a star for that. Still would recommend it as a good read, because for some perhaps it wouldn't be as disappointing. (Don't want to mention details as I don't want to spoil anything)

I really enjoyed this book right from the start. To be honest, I was nervous even as I was enjoying it. I was afraid that I understood the formula too well for the book to stay good. That I knew what was coming. I was wrong. And that's why I went from enjoying this book to loving it. The characters are so well drawn. The mythology is well thought out and well executed. The story is interesting. It was just a good book.

This book was awesome. I really enjoyed it better than I thought I would. I enjoyed the characters so much and when everything was explained at the end....oh my.! There was something left to be desired when it came to the main character Clary. She just wasn't everything that I was expecting.
