I have some very mixed feelings about this book. On the one hand, I get that what Miles went through was horrific, traumatic...all the bad "ics" you can think of. But on the other hand, I wanted to slap him and tell him to be brave, take a chance...don't be such a coward! Harsh? Maybe...but that's life.

I'm going to settle on 4 stars for this, taking one off because it was a little overly emotional in places for my taste. ...more

Genre: Romance/Contemporary

Pros:-
Obviously it's Hoover's typical plot with pain and romance. Intense at few points. The emotions rolled through in par with the storyline. Few influential sentences too. The depth of the storyline was substantial.

Cons:-
As always..the beginning was a bit cliché and way too dragging. Only after about 80% of the book,I came
to know the main storyline. Could've been a little shorter and to the point. It's definitely not a sweet/cute,slow burn romance..

This book was... interesting. It's definitely my least favorite CoHo that I've read so far. While I liked the present day timeline from Tate's POV, it was frustrating at times to read about the back and forth nature of her relationship with Miles. While I liked both of their characters, and thought they were good together for the most part, something just felt a little off to me.

On the other hand, the past timeline from Miles's POV was TERRIBLE. I wasn't super tied up on the taboo-ness ...more
