Throne of Glass'ı gerçekten çok sevmiştim fakat seriye devam etmem için gerekli merakı sağlamamıştı bana. Eğer Sarah J Maas'ın öteki serisi, A Court of Thorns and Roses'ı okuyup şu ana kadar çıkmış kitapları bitirmemiş olsaydım Crown of Midnight'ı elime almazdım. Bunu da diyebiliyorum çünkü Throne of Glass'ı, geçtiğimiz ocak ayında yeniden okumuştum hafızamı tazelemek ve seriye devam etmek amacıyla, fakat elim bir türlü Crown of Midnight'a gitmemişti.

Ama iyi ki dün gitmiş. HARİKAYDI.

Kitabın başları Throne of Glass'ı anımsatıyordu, güzeldi ve ilginçti fakat insanı heyecandan öldüren bir yanı pek yoktu. Kitap ilerledikçe güzelleşti, olaylar ve sırlar ve kişiler birbirine karıştı ve Sarah J Maas'ın hikaye anlatış tarzına hayran kalmamı sağladı. Crown of Midnight'taki gelişmeleri kesinlikle Throne of Glass okurken/okuduktan sonra tahmin edemezdim çünkü Sarah J Maas, kitaplarını öyle bir kurgulamış ki, okuyucuya bilmesi gerekeni tam da öğrenmesi gereken yerde söylüyor, ne bir bölüm önce ne de bir bölüm sonra.

Serinin bu noktadan sonra Celaena'yı nereye götüreceğini ancak okumuş olanlar ve yazarın kendisi bilir, öyle bir yerde bitti kitap yani. Ama daha okuyacağım çıkmış üç, çıkmamış bir kitap olduğu düşünülürse epey bir aksiyon yaşanacağa benziyor. Dikkatli ol kalbim, heyecandan ölüp bir kenarda unutulma.

Karakterler hakkında konuşmama gerek yoktur diye düşünüyorum, malum serinin ikinci kitabı, ilk kitaptan sonra çok yeni karakterlerle karşılaşmıyoruz. (Hatırladığım kadarıyla yani.)

The series is finally living up to the hype. While the world building and storylines in Assassin's Blade and Throne of Glass showed promise, the problematic heroine was a significant stumbling block. In Crown of Midnight, all of the elements start coming together.

Additional details on the world building are provided and the overall story arc begins to take shape with insights into the King of Adarlan's nefarious plans and the origins of his power.

REREAD AGAIN 3/3/25
It's still one of my most favorite series and maybe it's because it was my second full series in the fantasy genre I ever read. For some reason I always get in the mood to revisit these characters especially when it's cold outside. I think I like to read fantasy when it's cold out. I was either in the mood for Celaena or Feyre and Celaena won this time.

This is my 3rd time reading it and still this book is AMAZING!!!

This is only book 2 of this series but it is so good. It left me wanting to dive right into the next book. I have heard nothing but good things and so far everyone is spot on. Love Sarah J. Maas's writing. She is a master fantasy writer, I never saw any of what happened coming. Amazing book!

This is a re-read for me and it was even more amazing the second time around. Heir of Fire was my favorite at the time and Crown of Midnight was my least favorite of the 4 books I had read but I don't know why that was because I know I loved it far more this time around then I did the first time. I had forgotten some of the book and I am so happy I decided to pick up the whole series and re-read them all. Empire of Storms, Tower of Doom and Kingdom of Ask will all be brand new for me and I am so happy I don't have to wait a year in between each book to come out. I get to power through them all at one time...no waiting involved.

I don't even know how to start this review for Crown of Midnight , because I have so many FEELS for this novel...I can't even words right now! Seriously, hands down, this is THE BEST book that I have read so far this year and definitely one of the most anticipated. I was literally up until all hours of the night reading this, I absolutely could not bring myself to put it down. Crown of Midnight is so completely enthralling and filled with so much mystery, suspense, and dangerous twist I don't even know how to start this review for Crown of Midnight , because I have so many FEELS for this novel...I can't even words right now! Seriously, hands down, this is THE BEST book that I have read so far this year and definitely one of the most anticipated. I was literally up until all hours of the night reading this, I absolutely could not bring myself to put it down. Crown of Midnight is so completely enthralling and filled with so much mystery, suspense, and dangerous twists and turns around every corner that you'll be completely captivated by the story Sarah J. Maas has created. The plot, the characters, and imagery are phenomenal and kept me drooling all over the pages as I devoured this book.

I cannot say enough good things about this amazing and thrilling sequel to, Throne of Glass . Maas really did hit it out of the park with this, by bringing in more danger and super complex complicated games that will have loyalties tested at every available opportunity imaginable. Mysterious and edgy, you are going to absolutely fall in love with Crown of Midnight . Talk about a nail biter, this one definitely fits the profile. What more could you ask for in such a perfect follow up to an amazing start? Dark suspicion, adventurous and daring danger, intrigue, swoon-worthy boys, and romance.

Oh, the romance and the boys! How could you choose, Chaol or Dorian!? Dorian or Chaol?! One's dark and broody and the other one is oh so, tricksy. It's just...Guh! And they're both absolutely kickass and for spoilers sake, I won't say what happens or who Celaena picks, but there's definitely a connection between her and both of them. You'll just have to read to find out what it is.

If you love kickass fantasy, amazingly strong and brilliantly developed characters, and intriguing plot suspense then this is the novel for you. Seriously, it is! So, you should go pick it up as soon as it hits shelves in bookstores near you. It is the absolutely perfect, most super genius, fantasy filled world that I've seen written in a while and that's saying a lot! Mostly I like fantasy, but this book absolutely made me fall in love with fantasy. This is absolutely how it's supposed to be done.

Espectacular!!!! Esta historia se pone cada vez mejor!!!

Segunda parte, llena de romanticismo, Cealena y Chaol aún tienen un gran camino por delante pero mi corazón romántico suspira por su final feliz.
Hay muchos personajes, muchos golpes inesperados, muchos misterios y algunos mal entendidos que en mi caso hicieron la lectura un poquito lenta y por ello no las 5 estrellas que éste libro se merece. Pero cada misterio y se revelación hacen que uno devore el libro.
